Terry Jobsis and Timothy Paustian will receive 2010 UW academic staff awards

Catherine ‘Terry’ Jobsis, Research Program Manager in the Department of Animal Sciences, and Timothy Paustian, Faculty Associate in the Department of Bacteriology, are among nine academic staff members from across campus selected to receive 2010 Academic Staff Excellence Awards. The awards will be presented at a reception hosted by Chancellor Martin on April 26.

Jobsis will receive the Wisconsin Alumni Association Award for Excellence in Leadership – Individual Unit. She is in charge of campus animal facilities for the animals sciences department, teaches and assists in classes, and advises student groups.

Paustian will receive the Chancellor’s Hilldale Award for Excellence in Teaching. He teaches Biology of Microorganisms, Biology of Microorganisms Laboratory, Food Microbiology Laboratory, Physiology of Microorganisms Laboratory, and Physiological Diversity of Procaryotes Laboratory.
