A highlight of the campus’s Go Big Read program during the spring semester will be the Food Summit on April 23 at the Memorial Union. The day-long free program will feature presentations from UW-Madison faculty and staff representing diverse disciplines, but all related to food and food production.
George McGovern, former United States representative, senator and presidential nominee, will deliver the keynote address at 11 a.m. in the Union Theater. McGovern served as the director of the Food for Peace Program and chaired the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Unmet Basic Needs.
Plans are still coming together, but updates will be posted to the the Day on Campus website. This entry was posted in Highlights, Extension and Outreach by . Bookmark the permalink.
