Chris Vaughan honored for founding Latin America’s first grad program in wildlife conservation
In mid-October, 2009, with dozens of his former students and colleagues from around the world looking on, Chris Vaughan was honored for his role in founding the first graduate program in wildlife conservation in Latin America, the International Institute for Wildlife Conservation and Management (ICOMVIS) at Universidad Nacional in Costa Rica. Vaughan earned his Ph.D. at UW-Madison and is an adjunct professor of Forest and Wildlife Ecology. He was recently appointed director of Associated Colleges of the Midwest Costa Rica Program.
