Sean Carroll is a finalist for National Book Award

UW-Madison professor Sean Carroll is a finalist for the 2009 National Book Award. He is one of five contenders in the NBA’s nonfiction category for his “Remarkable Creatures: Epic Adventures in the Search for the Origin of Species.” The winner in this and the contests other three categories — fiction, poetry and young people’s literature —  will
be announced at the 60th National Book Awards Benefit Dinner and Ceremony in New York City on Wednesday, November 18. Each Winner will receive $10,000 and a bronze statue; each finalist will receive a bronze medal and $1,000.
