Cheryl Deering, Richard Straub, the CALS ACUC, and the RARC Trainers have established four town hall meetings to discuss in detail what preparations are appropriate and fundamental to the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC) site visit. The list of dates follows below. Attendance at one of these should be viewed as mandatory for all Principal Investigators with active animal use protocols or their Laboratory Managers. We strongly encourage that all laboratory personnel also be requested to attend. We want each of you to be well prepared as maintenance of AAALAC accreditation is essential to the CALS research enterprise. CALS received a very favorable review in our first site visit three years ago, and we want to retain the same level of recognition. This is viewed as very important by our CALS Administration.
Please save one of the following dates and times:
- August 26, 2009 11:45 – 1:00 PM @ Ebeling Symposium Center, Room 1220
- August 27, 2009 11:30 – 1:00 PM @ Agricultural Hall, Room 125 (Lecture Hall)

Each meeting will have a 30-40 minute presentation, the remaining time will be used for question and answer. One of our Program Veterinarians, Dr. Maroney or Dr. Brown, will be in attendance to help answer your questions as well.
Thanks in advance for keeping our College’s research program strong,
