FACETS seminar looks at commerical dairy farms of Australia — April 21
The next FACETS seminar will be Tuesday, April 21st from noon to 1:30 p.m. in 115 Taylor Hall. The program, “Assessments Of Feed And Manure Management On Australian Dairy Farms,” will be presented by Mark Powell from the UW-Madison Department of Soil Science. This seminar will describe approaches to measure feed intake, herd and manure management on commercial dairy farms of Australia, as well as farmer knowledge systems and application related to forage and herd management. Mark just returned from a year sabbatical research in Australia.

This will be the fourth Forum on Agriculture, Climate, & Energy Technology Sustainability – (FACETS) — workshops and seminars for innovation and action sponsored by Program on Agricultural Technology Studies (PATS), Land Information and Computer Graphics Facility, and the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. This forum aims to bring together experts in various fields to provide an opportunity for the generation and evaluation of ideas related to agricultural production, bioenergy and land use and how they interact with climate change mitigation and adaptation.
