You’ve invited to steal some great ideas at Showcase 2009 – March 24
You are invited to attend the 10th annual UW-Madison Showcase 2009, being held on Tuesday, March 24th at the Memorial Union. With budget challenges and rising costs, we are all looking for innovative ways to be increasingly effective and efficient with the resources we have. Showcase 2009 is designed to share best practices and learn from each other in order to improve work processes, learning environments, and campus climate in both academic and administrative areas. Faculty, staff and administrators can learn from their peers who are showcasing their practices through the more than 50 poster exhibits and also attend concurrent breakout sessions. We encourage you to take away good ideas and adapt them for use in your unit.
The keynote address by Dean Mike Knetter of the Wisconsin School of Business will focus on “Bold Strategies for Challenging Times.”
Chairs, directors, managers and supervisors, I urge you to attend, and to allow your staff to attend without the loss of pay. This will be a great opportunity for everyone to identify potential improvements that will benefit your work units.
Showcase is free, but please register.
Continental breakfast starts at 7:45 and a box lunch is provided for those who register for the keynote presentation.
