The fall edition of the Organic Advisory Council newsletter is available online at http://www.organic.wisc.edu/. The Wisconsin Organic Advisory Council brings together public and private resources to promote Wisconsin’s national leadership position in organic agriculture. By advising the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection and other agricultural organizations on critical organic issues, the council supports organic production, processing, and purchasing opportunities for Wisconsin farmers, processors and consumers.
The council’s interagency team includes several people from CALS, including Dean Molly Jahn, Kevin B. Shelley of the UW Nutrient and Pest Management Program and Jed Colquhoun, Department of Horticulture. Erin Silva of the Department of Agronomy serves as co-coordinator.
