National Geographic editor talks about energy and climate at Nov. 13 LSC symposium

Dennis Dimick, Executive Editor of National Geographic Magazine presents, Changing Climate: Where Energy and Global Warming Meet, Thursday, November 13 at 11 a.m., Ebling Symposium Center, Microbial Sciences Building, as part of the Department of Life Sciences Communication Centennial Speaker Series. In a sweeping visual journey, Dimmick will highlight published features from National Geographic and the most recent scientific reports documenting climate change. He will explore what we, as communities and individuals, can do to reverse the trends.

Dimick, a UW-Madison alumnus, was formerly the magazine’s environmental editor and continues to lead National Geographic’s coverage of environment, energy, and climate issues. His work has been recognized by the Overseas Press Club and the Society of Environmental Journalists.
