Cultivating sustainable ag in Wisconsin higher ed programs – Oct. 31-Nov. 1

On Oct. 31-Nov. 1 UW-Madison will host a conference for students, faculty, and others involved in  sustainable agriculture programs at Wisconsin colleges.  Wisconsin farmers and consumers have been leaders in developing and adopting sustainable agriculture practices and food systems, and as concern for environmental and social sustainability continues to grow, Wisconsin colleges, universities, and students are responding by developing academic programs, research, and practical projects in sustainable agriculture.  To register for the conference go to www.cias.wisc.edu or call (608) 265-9585.  Registration is $75 (general) or $20 (student) before October 15th.  For general information about the conference contact Diane Mayerfeld at (608) 262-8188 or dbmayerfeld@wisc.edu.
