Help celebrate the opening of the new Campus Drive Pedestrian and Bicycle Path, 10 a.m. – noon on Friday, August 8. Designed and developed by UW Madison Transportation Services, this safe and convenient pathway makes connections from west side neighborhoods into the heart of the UW Campus. The event begins at 10 a.m. at University Bay Drive at Campus Drive. You’re invited to join Bucky and the UW Band in a parade to the artful new bridge over Walnut Street. Check out one of the nation’s largest solar lighting installations (provided by MGE) along the way! You’ll see MGE’s solar energy exhibit, get bicycle commuting tips, enjoy kids activities, and more.
