There are over 3,604 toilets, 822 urinals, 3,917 laboratory sinks, 3,403 lavatories, and 1,184 drinking fountains in the campus buildings (excludes resident halls.) Water and sewage costs account for 7 percent of the total energy costs of the campus. During the recent years, over 3,000 water-saving plumbing fixtures have been installed in the campus buildings.
- Conserve water when and where you can
- Turn off water used for cooling of equipment when not needed
- Use cold water when possible
- The less water you use, less energy is needed to pump the water through the faucet
- Report any water leak
