New workplace Spanish class offered

The Office of Human Resource Development is offering the course “Spanish for Workplace for Managers and Supervisors” for free. The course will be taught by Antonio Noguera, PhD, from the Department of LiberalStudies and the Arts, with the assistance of Cultural Linguistic Services. It will be offered twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 – 12:00 pm., for five weeks total, starting on May 27 until June 26.
This excellent learning opportunity is directed to Managers and Supervisors from all UW Madison departments, with the main objective of promoting a bridge on the communication barrier and making a positive impact on regular operations and interactions with English Language Learner employees from our very diverse workforce. The class will also provide basic and intermediate learning tools of the Spanish language adapted to Workplace situations. Benefits Specialists and Lead workers are also encouraged to participate.
