Proposals for university assessment funds and Wisconsin Experience due May 16
The provost’s office has issued a call for proposals for university assessment funds for 2008-09. These funds are limited and are intended to be a catalyst for promoting assessment of student learning outcomes within and across our academic programs.
This year, in addition to supporting new assessment activities, the provost is also seeking proposals for the Wisconsin Experience that forward the Wisconsin Experience, which describes some of the unique learning opportunities at UW-Madison, and proposals that focus on capstone courses or culminating experiences.
The due date for proposals is Friday, May 16. Members of the University Assessment Council (UAC) have asked for some flexibility in the submission deadline, so if you anticipate that you would apply for assessment funds at a later date but are uncertain about the details of your plans at this time, please submit a pre-proposal by May 16, 2008.
If you intend to request funds, please consult with your Council representative (a list is included in the call for proposals). Additional information about academic assessment efforts is on the web at http://www.provost.wisc.edu/assessment.
You may also direct any questions to Mo Noonan Bischof, Co-chair of the UAC, at 265-4413 or mabischof@wisc.edu.
