Alumni of the UW-Madison Farm and Industry Short Course presented awards to Phil Harris, agricultural law and tax specialists, and Ed Hoesly, who maintains the Short Course dorms. The awards were presented at the annual Short Course reunion January 26 in DeForest.
The Service to Wisconsin Agriculture Award was presented to Harris, a Professor of Agricultural and Applied Economics who has taught the Short Course Farm Law class since 1979. He has also conducted countless workshops for UW-Extension on farm transfer, wills, trusts, farm tax issues and other important topics. He is is the recognized authority on farm income taxes in the state and Midwest. attorneys.
