Alumni of the UW-Madison Farm and Industry Short Course will hold
their annual reunion on Saturday, January 26 at the Comfort Inn and
Suites in DeForest, located at corner of I-90/94 and Hy V.
The event opens with an 11:30 a.m. social hour, followed by the
luncheon and program at noon. For those interested, there will be a
10:30 a.m. pre-reunion seminar featuring agricultural law specialist
Phil Harris, UW-Madison Professor of Agricultural and Applied
Economics, on Intergenerational Transfer of Farms.
Harris will also receive this year’s Service to Agriculture Award
from Short Course alums. The Friend of Short Course Award will be
presented to Ed Hoesly, longtime custodian in Humphrey Hall.
Special recognition will also go to the Short Course classes of 1997,
1987 and 1977, which will be celebrating, respectively, their 10th,
20th and 30th reunions.
The fee for the event is $17 per attendee ($15 for students). To
