Daniel Gianola, animal sciences and dairy science, is a recipient of the Humboldt Research Award. The Humboldt research award is one of the highest awards Germany gives to foreign scientists. It is given “to outstanding scientists and scholars whose fundamental discoveries, new theories, or insights have had a significant impact on their own discipline and who are expected to continue producing cutting-edge achievements in future.”
