The Allen Centennial Gardens will be bursting with tulips next spring, thanks to efforts this month by members of the Daughters of Demeter, a charitable organization founded in 1917. Volunteers from the group planted up to 2,000 bulbs on Oct. 17. Among the bulbs is an heirloom cultivar named “Demeter.” Visitors to the gardens next spring will find flowering bulb plants from early April through the end of May.This entry was posted in Uncategorized by jsindelar.
