On-campus information on the Peace Corps will be offered every Wednesday during the fall 2007 semester. Also,Campus Peace Corps Rep Office Hours in Ag Hall Room 240 are Wednesdays: 1-4pm in Room 240 of Ag Hall. Bring your questions, hear stories from the Campus Rep’s time in Uganda, pick up informational materials, brochures, and find out how to determine if Peace Corps is right for you.

Peace Corps has many opportunities offering hands-on experience working with farmers, promoting environmental education, managing forestry issues, and working in agribusiness or animal husbandry projects, just to name a few. This session will cover some basic Peace Corps information, and you’ll hear from two volunteers who did ag & environment work in Tanzania and Benin, West Africa. Stop by to check it out. Lunch With Peace Corps Recruiters
11 am – 2 pm in BOTH Union South and Memorial Union – take your pick!You can meet with any of THREE visiting recruiters from the Minneapolis recruiting office, who will visiting the Madison campus on this day. Some will be in the main lobby of Union South, and others in Memorial Union near the entrance to the Rathskellar. Bring your lunch if you like, or just stop by – this is a great opportunity to ask the recruiters questions in a comfortable and casual format. Bring your questions, pick up some info, hear personal stories about each person’s overseas Peace Corps experience, or listen to questions from others. Come on – learn more about Peace Corps. Peace Corps Application Writing Workshop
5:30 – 7 pm, The Writing Center in H.C. White HallSo you can start your Peace Corps application at any time on-line. You can also take this 90-minute class, the last one offered this Fall semester, to help you prepare a great application with amazing essays (which are a required part of the app). Peace Corps recruiters in the Minneapolis office say this class really helps, and those who take the class have better applications. Make that you!
