You are invited to participate in the inaugural events for the new Microbial Sciences Building on Oct. 26. If you are unable to attend these special events, the building will be open for a public tour on Sunday, October 28, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. Here’s the schedule for public events on Oct. 26:

We invite you to join us in celebrating the opening of this grand facility. For more than a century, the University of WisconsinMadison has been a leader in the field of microbiology, and the opportunities before us are unparalleled. Now together in the same building, the School of Medicine and Public Health and the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences will address emergent issues in microbiology including those related to infectious disease, alternative energy, environmental health, and food production and safety. This new space will open the door for great discovery and greater benefit for all humanity.
