The primary focus of these grants is on training and/or retraining to improve the effectiveness of non-represented classified staff. An article on this program will be published in Wisconsin Week in the next few weeks.

All materials needed to apply for a grant, including objectives and criteria used by the approving body, procedures/process and deadlines, proposal cover page, and detailed budget worksheet can be found at the above websites. Please distribute this information to the appropriate individuals within your organization.

All grant proposals should be submitted to Classified Human Resources, 21 North Park Street, Room 5101, Madison, WI 53715 by December, 1, 2007. Professional development opportunities are vital to program vitality during this period of resource constraints and changing administrative and educational needs. Because of budget cuts, some departments may be unable to match the funding for these events. If this is the case in your organization be aware that, if funding allows, the event application could be funded up to $1000.00.
