Women’s Philanthropy Council seeks nominees who have advanced the status of women at UW
On November 8 , the University of Wisconsin Foundation Women’s Philanthropy Council will present Champion Awards honoring one man and one woman whose commitment and effort have advanced the status of women at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Each recipient will have the opportunity to direct a $5000 Women’s Philanthropy Council contribution to the campus initiative of his or her choice. To nominate a candidate for this award, please send a brief e-mail message (equivalent to one page) to Lindsey Stoddard Cameron at jlsc@bascom.wisc.edu by Friday, 12 October. Nominations should:
- provide the nominee’s contact information (name, title, department/unit, campus address, telephone, e-mail address),
- outline his or her significant contribution(s),
- describe one specific action/accomplishment more fully, and
- name two individuals who could offer additional details in support of the nomination (upon the review committee’s request).
Bernice Durand, Vice Provost for Diversity & Climate, will chair a committee to review nominations and select recipients of the 2007 Women’s Philanthropy Council Champion Award.
