BSE students honored at annual ASABE convention

Three students in Biological Systems Engineering received awards for competitions held as part of the annual convention of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) in Minneapolis in June. In the G. B. Gunlogson Environmental Design competition, Matthew Bretl and Nicole Weinberg received first place for their presentation and report entitled, “Design of a Low-Cost Wastewater Collection System for Communities in El Salvador.” In the Graduate Student Research Competition, Matthew F. Digman received a third place award for his presentation and report, entitled, “Real-Time Moisture Measurement on a Forage Harvester using Near Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy.”
