Alert: NIH extending correction window for June 5 R01 submission deadline
NIH and Grants.gov are closely monitoring processing times for applications submitted for the June 5 R01 submission deadline. Most applications have been processed well within Grants.govs 48 hour target. However, there is a subset of applications that will not complete processing within the 48 hour target. NIH will extend the five business day error correction window for the June 5 R01 receipt date to accommodate applicants affected by the processing delays.
Applicants that submitted applications on-time (i.e. all registrations completed prior to submission and received Grants.gov timestamp by 5:00 p.m. local time on June 5) will have until June 14 (two additional days) to correct any system-identified errors and/or warnings to complete the submission process.
NIH uses the timestamp provided by Grants.gov at time of submission to document on-time application submission. Please resist the temptation to resubmit your application or submit corrections until you have received Grants.gov confirmation that your current submission is complete failure to do so causes additional load and possible conflicts.
