An international Faculty Diversity and Environmental Justice Research Symposium will be held June 7-9, 2007 in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan’s School of Natural Resources and Environment.
This year is shaping as one with many high-profile activities being planned around diversity and environmental justice issues; this is one of them.The conference organizers hope to gather around 200 researchers to focus on research in this field.
The symposium will focus on diversity in academia as well as domestic and international environmental justice research. The conference will bring together researchers who are academics, postdoctoral fellows, students, policymakers, environmental justice practitioners, and grantmakers to participate in plenaries, panels, and poster sessions. All conference participants are encouraged to make presentations about their research.
