You are invited to come together to celebrate local food and farming, network, learn, strengthen collaborations, and sow the seeds for future action. The Dane County Food Council is preparing to host its first annual Planting Seeds for Our Future Conference on Monday, March 26th, 2007 from 8:30am-4pm, at the Exhibition Hall of the Alliant Energy Center.
The Dane County Food Council was one of the results of a CALS-administered project funded by the W.K Kellogg Foundation — The Wisconsin Food System Partnership. That project’s director, Associate Dean Ken Shapiro, helped in the creation of the council. This event is an opportunity for people living and working in the Dane County region to come together to celebrate local food and farming, network, learn, strengthen collaborations, and sow the seeds for future action to create a stronger food system for everyone.
More detailed information about the Planting Seeds for Our Future Conference will be available in mid-February at http://www.co.dane.wi.us/foodcouncil, or calling (608) 266-4540, or via email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
