A seminar on “The Public Health Effects of Industrialized Agriculture” will be presented on Monday, March 12 by the Department of Population Health Sciences. Presenting the seminar will be Robert S. Lawrence, MD, Professor of Environmental Health Sciences at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Lawrence is the Edyth H. Schoenrich Professor of Preventive Medicine and Associate Dean for Professional Education and Programs at the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health, Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and Founding Director of the Center for a Livable Future at Johns Hopkins University. He is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Medical School. In 2002, he received the Albert Schweitzer Humanitarian Prize from the Humboldt Foundation.
