High Performance Computing Seminar at Utah State University

HPC@USU will present the First Annual Agricultural Computing Research & Education Services (ACRES) Symposium in Logan, Utah, entitled “Challenges and Opportunities for High Performance Computing in Agriculture and Life Sciences.”

The two-day seminar is March 26-27, 2007 and will feature keynote speaker Dr. Colien Hefferan, Administrator of CSREES, USDA.

Come learn about high performance computational methodology that supports research in agriculture and related fields. We will present national speakers from academia, research, and industry to address the challenges facing agriculture and related areas and discuss how HPC helps solve these problems.

We will also offer hands-on teaching workshops to demonstrate HPC tools, including visualization, data mining, and scientific computing for agriculture applications.
