Fulbright Grants for Graduate Students

Need money for MA, pre-diss, or dissertation overseas research and study? Then plan to attend one of two important informational meetings on the Fulbright-IIE Student Program and Fulbright-Hays Dissertation Program (DDRA) 2008-09 Competitions. The Fulbright Student Programs are among the U.S. GovernmentÂ’s most well-known and prestigious international research and study programs.

Meeting Schedule:
Wednesday, February 28
3:30-5:00 PM
Room 336 Ingraham Hall

Tuesday, April 10
12:30-2:00 PM
Room 336 Ingraham Hall

Both sessions are the same. The campus deadline for the Fulbright-IIE competition will be mid-September. The campus deadline for the Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad Program will be set in the fall semester (typically the deadline is in October). These meetings are for graduate students interested in Fulbright-sponsored international research/study for 2008-09 (must be a citizen to be eligible for Fulbright-IIE; must be a citizen or permanent resident to be eligible for the Fulbright-Hays DDRA).

The information session will introduce the Fulbright U.S. Student program administered by the Institute of International Education 9IIE) and the Fulbright-Hays DDRA program administered by the U.S. Department of Education. The Fulbright-IIE funds a wide range of graduate activities, including dissertation research. The DDRA funds only dissertation research.
