Academic staff mentoring program offers benefits to newcomers and seasoned veterans

Attention CALS academic staff: Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or new to campus, you’re invited to participate in the UW-Madison’s Academic Staff Mentoring Program. The program offers several benefits to both mentors and mentees:

  • Promote professional and personal development for mentees and mentors
  • Foster communication across department, units, and campus
  • Provide opportunities to share knowledge – and learn more – about UW-Madison
  • Link mentees with mentors who can advise, coach, and guide them

Since 1997, over 400 pairs of academic staff — many of them from the college — have participated in the mentoring program. If you’re interested, the mentor program’s website has more information and links to application forms.
