International opportunity for students: ReWild the Future Challenge
Wageningen University and Research (WUR), an international partner of CALS in the Netherlands, is launching a new global challenge for students in the domain of natural resources and the living environment. The ReWild the Future Challenge invites CALS instructors and faculty to form a team of students to design innovative, technology-enabled and ecologically grounded solutions that enhance rural biodiversity.
The Challenge is open to undergraduate and graduate students from fields such as environmental sciences, biology, agriculture, forestry, natural resource management, environmental engineering, GIS, business, social entrepreneurship, data science, remote sensing, urban and regional planning and related disciplines.
Participating student teams will receive guidance from mentors from business, academia and NGOs to develop fully fledged ideas for a start-up or social enterprise. Finalists will present their solutions to an international jury, gain global visibility and compete for prizes totaling 9,000 EUR.
For questions, check the Challenge website. If you have further questions or plan to participate, please contact CALS Study Abroad at studyabroad@cals.wisc.edu.
