New TAs: Advance your scientific teaching skills in INTEGSCI 605
WISCIENCE is excited to announce a relaunch of their course Scientific Teaching for TAs (INTEGSCI 605) this spring. The course is designed for new TAs who want to cultivate effective, efficient and inclusive teaching strategies in the STEM courses they support.
Participants share experiences and ideas with fellow TAs, enhance their knowledge about teaching and learning and get just-in-time support as they work with students. The course counts as an elective for the Certificate in Higher Education Teaching and Learning.
One past student said, “Participating in this course provided incredibly important information about how to become a better teacher. I appreciated that I could build community with other TAs.”
For Spring 2026, class will take place in Russell Labs, Room 104, on Wednesdays at 2:30 – 3:45 p.m. Students must be a TA in a STEM course concurrently. Instructor permission is required to enroll – email connect@wiscience.wisc.edu and include the course you will be TAing.
