Prepare for the 2026 insurance open enrollment period Oct. 6-31

Open Enrollment will be from October 6-31, 2025. Before taking part in Open Enrollment (formerly known as ABE), employees must create a MyWisconsin ID. They can watch the Get Started with My Benefits video or visit the My Benefits Help to begin.

Once their MyWisconsin ID is created, they will be able to access the My Benefits portal. With My Benefits, employees can securely access Statements of Benefits dating back to 2012 or request a disability retirement estimate. Note: The current year’s Statement of Benefits becomes available in mid-April.

Universities of Wisconsin employees will use the My Benefits portal to access My Insurance Benefits to enroll in, modify or review ETF-administered insurance benefits as well as UW-sponsored life insurances. This includes instances such as Open Enrollment and Life Events. My Insurance Benefits will expand to include state, University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, and local employees and retirees in 2026.
