Grad students and postdocs: Take part in Research Mentor Learning Communities this fall

Become a better research mentor and invest in leadership skills by reserving a spot in a free, 10-hour Research Mentor Learning Community. Both online and in-person sections are available.

Fall Research Mentor Learning Communities

Through interactive, case-scenario based learning with the Delta Program, graduate students and postdocs can gain practical skills and become a better mentor.

Topics that will be covered include:

  • Effective communication
  • Aligning expectations
  • Promoting independence
  • Cultivating inclusion and a sense of belonging

The experience can enhance CVs with a digital Research Mentor Badge or elective credit toward the Certificate in Higher Education Teaching and Learning. In some departments, this certificate can also fulfill a breadth minor requirement.

Want to also gain mentorship experience? This fall, the Delta Program is pleased to launch GRADLINK associated with the research mentor learning communities, connecting graduate student and postdoc mentors with undergraduates from the Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) who are exploring research and graduate school.
