Resources for teaching through an election
Current events such as the Presidential election can affect your students and your class environment in various ways, no matter the topic of your course. These resources can help:
1. Navigating Classroom Dynamics & Disruptions
This guide shares strategies for responding to a range of situations that can disrupt class, with resources from across campus. On Oct. 25, join the companion event, Teaching at UW: Challenging Conversations, to develop language and approaches that work for you.
2. Voting info for students
The BadgersVote Coalition has prepared 2 non-partisan, educational slides that you may share with students to explain how to vote. The university recommends planning ahead and communicating with students about any potential conflicts between course activities and Election Day.
