CALS faculty and staff to present at Sustainability Symposium – Oct. 23
The third annual UW–Madison Sustainability Symposium will be held October 23 from 1:00 – 5:30 p.m. at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery. All students, staff and faculty are welcome to attend this no-cost event featuring lightning talks, poster sessions and a keynote on AI and sustainability.
CALS personnel presenting during the event are:
- Xia Zhu-Barker, assistant professor of soil and environmental sciences
- Compost and Cover Crop Strategies to Increase Soil Health and Climate Change Resilience
- Bradley Bolling, associate professor of food science
- Partnerships for a Sustainable Agri-Food System in Wisconsin
- Michael Gay, development specialist in the Center for Dairy Research
- Circular Bio-Economy – Turning Dairy Processing By-Products Into Green Chemicals
The Symposium is hosted in partnership with the Data Science Institute, Facilities Planning & Management, the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies, University Lectures and the UW Environmental Awareness Fund.
