DoIT shares Make it Accessible guides and digital accessibility resources
Digital accessibility is a shared responsibility of everyone at UW–Madison. DoIT aims to ensure that digital resources, from PDFs to courses to websites, are accessible and free from barriers for all members of the university community.
Make it Accessible is a comprehensive resource from the Center for User Experience designed to help the university make digital content more inclusive. These guides bring together accessibility tips across many content types, along with guidance about how to think about and minimize accessibility barriers. Resources include a fundamentals guide, a downloadable checklist for content creators, document and web accessibility resources and more.
The Center for User Experience (CUE) helps the university follow its Digital Accessibility policy by offering free evaluation and advice to everyone in the UW-Madison community.
- CUE will continue to update these guides so they serve as a trusted resource for digital accessibility best practices in your units.
- Contact CUE if you’d like more assistance addressing digital accessibility concerns particular to your unit.
