Instructors: Help first-year undergraduate students by submitting midterm grades
Instructors with first-year undergraduate students in their courses will have the opportunity to submit mid-term grades from Feb. 24-Mar. 20, 2023. These partial, mid-semester grades are a valuable tool for students, advisors, and the college to gauge student success and make decisions that can help them for the rest of the semester.
Reporting both good and poor midterm grades helps paint a complete picture of a first-year student’s overall performance. While students receive valuable individual feedback from the instructor throughout the course, only midterm grades submitted through the Faculty Center are reported out to advisors and deans. Having a complete view of midterm grades enables appropriate connections and conversations for students who may be having academic difficulty in specific courses as well as those who may need more holistic support. Please consider submitting midterm grades-to-date for first-year students to help support their success.
