Share your work, make connections at UW Postdoctoral Research Symposium – Sept. 23

The 7th Annual UW–Madison Postdoctoral Research Symposium will be held Friday, Sept. 23, at the Discovery Building. Organized during National Postdoc Appreciation Week, the symposium offers a venue for UW–Madison postdocs to share their work with others, foster new collaborations, and make social connections.

In addition to a career panel, faculty teaching panel, and networking opportunities, the symposium includes a poster session and “Blitz Talk” competition to showcase the ongoing research from postdocs in all disciplines. The winners will receive substantive travel awards as a prize.

To participate in the poster session and/or the Blitz Talk competition, please submit an abstract by Monday, Aug. 22 (~300 words, optional graphical abstract 1 page). Notification of acceptance will be sent in early September. Blitz Talk presenters will deliver a 5-minute research talk designed to engage a general audience. Poster presenters will highlight a recent research project during the poster session happy hour. Please feel free to submit existing posters from recent conferences! This is a great opportunity to share your work and hone your research communication skills.

In addition to research presentations, the symposium will feature a postdoc art exhibit highlighting the additional talents of our postdoc community. Art from any medium will be accepted. Register your piece.

You can register to attend the symposium as a non-presenting participant here. Registration is free.
