Steenbock Library partner in Garden and Nature Community Reading Group
Calling all garden, plant and wildlife enthusiasts! Come join the Garden & Nature Community Reading Group to discuss books and ideas about gardening, plants, nature and the environment. This reading group – formerly the Olbrich Book Club – is a partnership between Olbrich Botanical Gardens, Steenbock Library, the UW Arboretum and Schumacher Farm Park. The theme for our 2022 winter series is Dreams and Designs: Gardening in Harmony with the Environment. We will be discussing plant sele ction, garden design, wildlife management and sustainable gardening practices. All discussions are free and participants are encouraged to read at least one of the selected books prior to the discussion. Books are available at Schumacher Library, partner libraries, and the Madison Public Library system.

March’s discussion topic is Gardening for Wildlife with the option to read any of three books on how to attract and understand the wildlife that may be visiting your yard or garden.
