On Wednesday, April 7, the Wisconsin Assembly Committee on Agriculture held a hearing on Assembly Bill 77, which provides $1 million in annual funding for agricultural extension positions in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and the Division of Extension.

Virtual testimony was not allowed during this hearing. UW-Madison provided written testimony on the legislation. Other groups who submitted testimony in favor of the bill include PROFS, the Wisconsin Cranberry Growers Association, The Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association, the Wisconsin Pork Association, the Wisconsin Cattleman’s Association, The Wisconsin Soybean Association, WPAC and the Wisconsin Farm Bureau.
