The Dairy Innovation Hub will host its seventh annual Dairy Summit on Nov. 17 at UW–Platteville. The event will feature new Hub-funded research projects and a dairy farmer panel discussing challenges and priorities from the farm. A virtual option is available, and sessions will be posted to YouTube.

In-person attendees will also join small-group tours of UW–Platteville’s Pioneer Farm, where they will learn about Hub-supported research and facilities focused on dairy management, agroecosystems, dairy manufacturing and manure innovation.

The Summit is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required.

Since its launch in 2019, the Dairy Innovation Hub has supported 24 faculty hires and funded more than 300 research projects across UW–Madison, UW–Platteville and UW–River Falls. Backed by a $7.8 million annual state investment, the Hub advances research and development that helps Wisconsin’s $52.8 billion dairy sector remain a global leader in producing nutritious dairy products while advancing economic, environmental and social sustainability.
