The Benefits Open Enrollment (also known as the Annual Benefits Enrollment) is an annual opportunity for benefits-eligible employees to enroll, make changes, or drop most benefit plans. Any changes made during this time become effective on Jan. 1, 2027. This is the only time you can make benefit changes without a Qualifying Life Event (QLE) due to employment or family changes.

Save the date: The Employee Benefits and Resource Fair will be held on Oct. 8, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., at Union South in the Traditions Room.

Important First Step: Set up or log into your My Benefits account

You must create a My Benefits account to access the benefits enrollment system called My Insurance Benefits. Creating an account is a one-time registration process that you must complete using your personal email address, prior to enrolling in your benefits.

If you already have a My Benefits account:

1. Go to Workday (myworkday⁠⁠.wisconsin⁠⁠.edu).
2. From the Menu, select Personal.
3. Select Benefits and Pay.
4. Under Suggested Links, select My Benefits.

Note: You are required to change your password every 365 days. If your password expires, extra steps will be required to log into your account.
