Researchers invited to express interest in new Food is Medicine Working Group

CALS, the Sustainability Research Hub and the School of Medicine and Public Health are launching a new Food is Medicine Working Group, and UW–Madison faculty and researchers are invited to be part of it.

The joint effort brings together cross-campus expertise at the intersection of agricultural production, food systems, health, equity and sustainability. The working group will foster collaboration, surface emerging research questions, and support the co-development of interdisciplinary initiatives advancing nutrition security, chronic disease prevention and resilient food systems.

Participation will be flexible and open to anyone interested in exploring connections across nutrition, agriculture, clinical and population health, education, policy or community-engaged research.

What to expect:

  • Periodic meetings and ideation sessions
  • Opportunities to shape shared research priorities
  • Support and resources for proposal development and partnership building
