FISC AgForward students visit West Madison Ag Research Station
FISC Ag Forward, a short course offered by the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Farm and Industry Short Course (FISC), took place on October 23. During the Ag Forward program, students who are enrolled in FISC at UW–River Falls visit UW–Madison for a series of education sessions. With programs like this, UW–Madison continues to support the important educational needs of Wisconsin’s agriculture industry.
Ag Forward sessions included a tour of the West Madison Agricultural Research Station, led by Janet Hedtke, station superintendent, and an overview of the Corn Silage and Biofeedstock Breeding Program led by Tim Osterhaus, research program manager.
This year, Ag Forward is taking place in two parts, the first at the start of the student’s session in October, and the second in mid-December following their exams.
