CALS Fall Welcome and Orientation – Sep. 1

Faculty and staff are invited to meet the new class of students on Tuesday, September 1, from 9:30–11:00 a.m. at the traditional CALS Fall Welcome and Orientation hosted in the Allen Centennial Garden. 

Students will be escorted to the garden between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m. to enjoy coffee and muffins, explore college and university resources, and socialize in the garden with their peers, faculty and staff. 

With the start of the school year around the corner comes a series of events to welcome new and returning CALS students to campus.

Students are encouraged to attend the CALS Career Services Drop-In Resume Review event on Thursday, Sep. 3, from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. at Steenbock Library STEM Commons to have their resume reviewed by experts before the major recruiting events on campus. Employer representatives from Kerry and Epic will be available as well as Career Services staff. 

Students are also invited to attend the Academic Affairs Open House in 25 Agricultural Hall (CALS Student Center) on Friday, Sep. 4, from 8:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. to meet staff, enjoy a snack and learn about the resources available to them in Academic Affairs.

Finally, our CALS Student Organization Fair on Friday, Sep. 4, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. in 25 Agricultural Hall will have more than 40 clubs present in Biological Sciences, Food & Agriculture, Health & Nutrition, Business, Communication & Society, and Sustainability, Natural Resources, & the Environment.
