Provost John Zumbrunnen and Vice Provost and Dean of the International Division Fran Vavrus convened a university-wide Duration of Status (D/S) Working Group to evaluate the impact of federal regulatory changes and to coordinate recommendations for an institutional response. Jeri Barak, associate dean for academic affairs, will serve as CALS’s representative and point person on this working group.

The Duration of Status Working Group will evaluate new administrative rule and recommend strategies, policies, and communications to support compliance and institutional readiness. International Student Services within the International Division recently launched a website with additional background information and FAQs for students, staff, faculty and scholars.
