The U.S. Department of Justice extended the compliance deadline for the Americans with Disabilities Act’s digital accessibility rule to April 2027. While the timeline has shifted, the university’s commitment has not. We should all remain focused on supporting the student experience and advancing equity and inclusion as we enter this next chapter of creating more seamlessly accessible digital content.
Digital accessibility is an essential part of creating an inclusive and equitable university experience. It ensures that students, faculty, staff and visitors—including people with disabilities—can fully access and participate in learning, teaching and university life. This includes everyday materials such as websites, documents, emails and videos.
