ICTR seeking presenters for workshop series on clinical research participant retention
The Recruitment and Retention Resource Center at the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR) seeks presenters for a virtual fall workshop series on clinical research participant retention. If you are successful in retaining study participants, consider presenting a brief (10 minutes) or full-length (30-45 minute) talk. They welcome a variety of presentation topics relating to retention including but not limited to:
- Retention methods such as methods for locating/re-contacting lost to follow up participants, incentive systems to encourage long-term engagement, or enrollment of study partners for retention
- Relationship and trust building strategies and tips to foster sustained engagement
- Communication strategies for retention such as tailored mailings or use of study newsletters and social media
- Budgeting for retention
- Tracking retention and pivoting if methods are not working
- Designing for retention – study designs that encourage retention (decentralized trials, flexible visit windows, etc.)
Proposals are due June 15. For help developing your talk concept, you can reach out to recruitmenthelp@ictr.wisc.edu.
