The recent uptick in grant activity across CALS is a great reflection that research activities are somewhat returning to normal. However, this increase has also brought a concerning rise in late submission requests. As a reminder, all grant materials should be submitted to CALS at least five full business days prior to the sponsor deadline.

This timeline is critical to allow for thorough review, compliance checks and institutional approvals. It’s also important to note that Research Administration staff are currently managing a significantly increased workload due to the ongoing Workday rollout. Late submissions place additional strain on an already taxed team.
